I spent hours upon hours drawing with chalk as a child and young adult, so having a large chalkboard on a big empty wall in our kitchen was a no-brainer. My husband built a custom chalkboard with a barn wood frame and literally screwed it to the wall. The kids love drawing on it when mom is between drawings, and I enjoy the creative outlet it gives me.

The November chalkboard drawing is a recipe for Pumpkin pie. I drew some inspiration from good old Pinterest and the back of one of my pureed pumpkin cans. This drawing took a bit longer than normal due to the detail, but I think it was worth it.
