The Best Holiday Cocktails: Elderflower, Gin, & Prosecco Cocktail
“I like most liquor but I don’t like gin, I don’t always like the skin I’m in.”
– David J. Matthews.
You didn’t really think I could blog without mentioning my favorite musician, did you? 😉
Elderflower, Gin, & Prosecco Cocktail. That is a mouthful to say, and also a mouthful of deliciousness. As I am sure you can see from my quote above, I am not normally a gin drinker. But this cocktail is the exception, and it’s owed to the Elderflower liqueur. If you’ve ever tried St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur, you know exactly what I mean when I say it’s like tasking springtime. I stumbled upon St-Germain years ago and fell in love immediately with the flavor and of course the the unique bottle.
When the gin and St-Germain are shaken with ice, poured into a sugar-rimmed glass, and topped with fizzy Prosecco, a sparkling potion is created. I hope you enjoy this cocktail as much as I do. Heads up, it’s a strong one!
