The Best Holiday Cocktails: Spiked Butterscotch Hot Chocolate
What would the winter be without some boozy warm drinks? I’d like to introduce you to the Spiked Butterscotch Hot Chocolate. It’s made with quality hot chocolate and warm milk, spiked with butterscotch liqueur. I am sipping it right now, sitting on my couch next to the blazing fireplace, watching the 5-year-old dance to songs about trains, and gosh darn it, life is good. And you know what? The butterscotch liqueur makes the train songs so much better.
I can’t take credit for the Spiked Butterscotch Hot Chocolate. You see, I have this really awesome neighbor. And when I say awesome I actually mean boozy. She has been the inspiration for a couple of these cocktails and introduced me to this one. She’s also taken on the difficult task of being my taste tester for a couple of these recipes because she has an extremely discerning palette for booze. She said I wouldn’t regret it trying the Spiked Butterscotch Hot Chocolate, and I don’t. Smart woman.
To make this drink you don’t need much. This recipe is simple, versatile, and can be dressed up and dressed down. It’s the perfect cozy warm drink for a cold winters night.
